Abbas amini

Born in Abadan, Abbas Amini began making short films at the age of 13. In 2001, he moved to Tehran and worked as an assistant director. He then went on to direct documentaries on social issues and child protection. After directing a number of short films and documentaries on social issues and the terrible consequences of the Iran/Iraq war, he joined the Association for the Protection of Working Children (APCL) as a volunteer. His first and second feature films, "Valderama" and "Hendi And Hormoz", were presented at the Berlinale, and then entered the international festival circuit.
