Synopsis

«That’s Lebanon!» I always hear this exclamation from my Maronite parents when an unfortunate event shakes Lebanon, and especially when they feel they are becoming a minority. I have since tried to deconstruct this attitude and question my own upbringing. For that, I have based myself on the latest political events that occurred in Lebanon since the assassination of Rafik Hariri in 2005. Eliane Raheb


THE DIRECTOR

Born in Lebanon in 1972, Eliane Raheb, graduates in Audiovisual Arts and has directed several short films and documentaries.

She teaches documentary direction and is a founding member of the Cultural Cooperative for Cinema of Beirut. She has been artistic director of the Beirut Film Festival since 2001.
