Synopsis

Yashine, 10 years old, lives with his family in the slums of Casablanca. His mother runs as she can the whole family. A depressive father, a brother in the army, another almost autistic and a third, aged 13, a neighborhood bully who ends up being incarcerated. On his release from prison, he became a radical Islamist and persuades Yashine and his friends to join their "brothers". One day, Imam Abu Zubeir, spiritual leader, who provides physical and mental preparation for them told them that the



Réalisateur


Born in Paris, Nabil Ayouch works between Paris and Casablanca. His first film, Mekotub (1997) and Ali Zaoua (2000) represent Morocco at the Oscars, followed by one minute less of sun (2003), Whatever Lola Wants (2008), My Land (2011). In 1999, he directed the opening show of the Time of Morocco in France at Versailles and the closing of the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2009. Ali n ’Productions was founded in 1999 to help young filmmakers. In 2006, he launched the program Meda Films Development that follows producers and writers of the ten countries of the South Shore of the Mediterranean.
