Synopsis
Chronicle of event in the history of Algeria from 1939 to 1954, when the outbreak of the armed struggle. The film revolves around two fundamental axes: the expropriation of land and the deculturation. It shows how November1st, 1954 is the culmination of the struggle of the Algerian people multiforme to resist colonization, since its inception.
Réalisateur
Mohammed Lakhdar - Hamina works in Tunis for the Provisional Government before doing a training in filming and shooting in Prague. Back to Algeria he directs the Algerian News Agency then the National Office of Trade and Fim Industries. His first film The Aures Wind gets the first work price in Cannes 1966. Ten years later, Chronicle of the Years of embers is topped off with the Palme d’Or. His other films, December (1971), Wind Sand (1982) Last Picture (1986).
