Takmil workshop, Finishing in Arabic, was launched, in 2014, by the Carthage Film Festival management, is in its fourth edition.
Takmil supports African and Arab film projects in the phase of post-production. From 6 to 8 November 2017, after viewing the eight selected working copies, each director, accompanied by his / her producer will have the opportunity to defend his film, in the phase post-production, during a discussion with the members of an international jury.
This year, Takmil will host eight directors from Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Rwanda, Syria and Tunisia.
Four feature films and four documentaries, eight singular works strongly anchored in an often violent reality in which they try to seize the magic.
During the evening of 8th November, the jury will award grants to the most promising films. Six grants are offered by: The International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), the International Media Support (IMS), the French National Cinema Center (CNC), the Tunisian National Cinema and Image Center (CNCI). In addition, SILVERWAY PARIS, Image and Sound Post Production and Creative Agency, will provide post production works. Finally, HAKKA Distribution offers a grant for the distribution and promotion of an African or Arab film in Tunisia.
We are honored to announce that this year, four films that were part of the selection of Takmil, are in the 28th edition of the Carthage Film Festival Official Competition : A feeling greater than love by Mary Jirmanus Saba (Takmil 2015), Wallay by Berni Goldblat, The Beauty and the beast by Kaouther Ben Hania and North Wind of Walid Mattar (Takmil 2016).
