Blue Card

Drama

Sudan, Egypt

After the latest war in Sudan, Abdullah (24) fled illegally to Egypt after his family refused to leave Khartoum. Forced to take a demeaning job as a caregiver in Cairo, he struggled with guilt, especially after hearing of his family’s loss. He developed a bond with Ezz, a street food vendor dreaming of Europe, and applied for the «Blue card» for resettlement. Although his plan succeeded, transformative relationships with Ezz and a mysterious nursing home guest led Abdullah to redemption, choosing to stay in Egypt and eventually return to Sudan.
