«Coeur Ouvert» recounts the spiritual quest of Mansoura, a Tunisian mother who, after being a member of the Islamist movement Ennahdha, secretly converts to Christianity, disrupting the family balance. Between religious tensions and conjugal love, her husband and children struggle to accept this choice, while the director, their eldest son, captures on camera the dilemmas and secrets of this transformation.

Director : HAMZA BEL HADJ  

Hamza Belhadj is a Tunisian director, he graduated in film directing from ISAMM in 2006. His first short film «Al Sakf – Le Toit» won the national award at FIFAK in 2007. In 2019, the Al Jazeera Documentary channel broadcasted his 50-minute film «Talachi», then in 2022 he directed the 50-minute film «Jamaât Taht Al Sour» for the same channel Produced by Donia Films Amine Boukhris .

Producer: AMINE BOUKHRIS 

Amine Boukhris is a Tunisian author, director and producer who studied cinema in Tunis at the school of arts and cinema. After making short films, he directed his first feature documentary “War reporter” which participated and was awarded in several festivals. In 2018 he found his own production company under the name of “Donia films”, through which he produced documentaries for the Al-Jazeera documentary Channel. He is currently developing his film project “Solo”.
