SAMAHER MOUSLY : is a Saudi filmmaker focused on socially conscious narratives that challenge norms. Her journey began with a documentary in Berlin that had 300,000 views, followed by diverse projects including filming the Hajj pilgrimage. In 2021, she joined the Red Sea International Film Festival’s marketing team. Her short film Rouge is in the official competition in Carthage Film Festival.
Logline : A 28-year-old Saudi woman, Hayat, diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, has six months to raise 2 million riyals for life-saving medication. As her health deteriorates, she defies societal expectations, quits her degree, and embarks on a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and rebellion against cultural norms. Will she survive, or is death a more elusive force than she imagined?
