Hiam Abbass left her Palestinian village to pursue an acting career in Europe. Thirty years later, her daughter Lina, a filmmaker, joins her to revisit lost places and uncover four generations of Palestinian women’s memories.

Lina Soualem is a French-Palestinian-Algerian filmmaker, actor, and author whose credits include the feature documentary Their Algeria (2020). Bye Bye Tiberias (2023) is her latest film.
