On one of the final nights of Ramadan, a man wakes up and finds himself lying on a street in Jericho with no memory. “The Man» embarks on a journey in search of his memory, seeking help from men praying in a mosque nearby. Not far from them, “Um Firas”, a bereaved mother, decides it’s time to get rid of the clothes of her son “Firas”. He committed suicide a year ago without leaving a message to explain why. “The Man” begins to retrieve fragments of his memory, but when he meets “Um Firas”, he realises that he is an Israeli agent.

Dima Hamdan is an award-winning filmmaker and journalist based in Berlin. Her last short film, Blood Like Water (2024, Palestine), went to 40 festivals winning the Iris Film Prize in Wales.Her career in journalism, with reporting assignments in Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon inspires much of her work in fiction.
