SYNOPSIS

Young Kwame, a sapphire miner in southern Madagascar, falls ill and returns home, rediscovering his community’s history of resistance against corruption and oppression.

LUCK RAZANAJAONA

Luck Razanajaona, a Malagasy filmmaker, studied at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels in Marrakech. His work has screened globally, and Disco Afrika: A Malagasy Story marks his debut feature-length fiction film.
