Synopsis
In 1954, Zeineb, a young woman forced into prostitution in the medina of Tunis, seizes the chance to escape when her pimp is arrested. Inspired by the promises of independence and the country’s modernization, she tries to rebuild her life and pursue her dream of becoming a dancer. Yet her path is blocked by the harsh social, political, and patriarchal forces surrounding her.
