The Carthage Film Festival continues its regional outreach, an initiative launched in 2012. For the first time, the 35th edition shifts focus from central cities to rural villages. The official opening will take place on Revolution Day, December 17, 2024, in Sbeitla, featuring the film Matilla by Abdallah Yahya. The other inaugural dates are scheduled as follows: Saouaf on December 18, Hamet Jerid on December 23, Samar on December 25, and Jerissa on December 27.

The program includes a diverse selection of films, such as children’s cinema, feature narratives, documentaries, and short films, many of which are part of the festival’s fficial competitions. Award-winning films will also be screened in these regions following the festival’s conclusion in Tunis.
