SYNOPSIS
Forty protagonists, witnesses, and victims reflect on the 1989 massacres along the
Senegal River, between Mauritania and Senegal, seeking to understand the events
and take steps toward reconciliation.
ALASSANE DIAGO
Alassane Diago, born in 1985, in Agnam Lidoubé, is a Senegalese director and audiovisual technician. Trained at the Media Center in Dakar, he won several awards for his debut documentary “Les Larmes de l’émigration” (2010), followed by “Meeting My Father” (2018).
