In the village of Ain Al-Ansarin, a community lives isolated from the world. Where the inhabitants live on agricultural income. But climate change is affecting the way of life of this agricultural village located on the outskirts of Tunis. Most families migrate to the city. But some families cling to their village and decide to stay despite the lack of water and food security. The film tells the daily struggle of the remaining families to obtain water.

INTENTION NOTE 

Can we live without water ? No ! In spite of this reality, climate change has made access to water difficult. The issue of water attracted me after several visits to the village of Ain Al-Ansarin. Where I noticed the difficulty of obtaining water. An independent and isolated community that has been turned upside down.

After 12 years of a script supervisor experience in cinema and drama, the author and director Selma Hobbi launched the short film “MAGIC BOOK” in 2018, then “ISHA” in 2023, that got several awards at international festivals

The producer is the founder of CARAPACE Productions in 2009. In 2009, he produced the feature-length documentary «Les Colombes». In 2018, the short fiction film «The magic book». In 2021, he produced the short fiction film «Mandat». In 2023, he produced the short fiction film «LE SENTIER DE AICHA».
