Synopsis :
In a quiet village, a young woman is pushed by her grandmother to apply for a job at a new golf estate under construction in the mountains. However, when she discovers that the estate will be developed over her estranged grandfather's rooibos tea lands, she faces a tough decision: accept the job or reclaim the land?
Jason Jacobs and Devon Delmar are co-writers and co-directors on multiple projects in film, theater, animation, and series. Carissa is their first feature.

Synopsis :
A Swedish-based filmmaker, a refugee seeking stability for residency, seeks advice from his father in Aleppo. Their unfulfilled dreams intertwine, leading them to create a joint film. This creative journey bridges generational gaps, uniting them amidst exile experiences, offering a sense of connection and community.
Yaser Kassab, a filmmaker from Syria, now based in Stockholm, Sweden, holds a master's degree in film from Gothenburg University. His work, including 'On the Edge of Life,' has been acclaimed, receiving numerous awards, such as the Joris Ivens and CNAP awards for the best first film, but also the best mid-length documentary award at Festival Dei Popoli. In 2019, his film 'I Have Seen Nothing, I Have Seen All' premiered at Vision du Reel, and both films have been featured at various festivals, including IDFA, RIDM, Tempo, Carthage, and Cairo.
Rima Alhamedd is a Syrian filmmaker with a background in fine art and photography from Sweden. She co-directed "On the Edge of Life - 2017," which won Best First Film at the Cinema du Reel festival. She worked as an editor for "I Have Seen Nothing, I Have Seen All - 2019" and as a co-producer for "Chasing the Dazzling Light - 2023." Her short animation film "Long Take" premiered at the Uppsala Short Film Festival.

Senegalese writer, director, and producer Rama Thiaw, straddling life in Africa and Europe, studied cinema at Paris 8 following her economics master's from Sorbonne University. She directed two acclaimed feature documentaries: "Boul Fallé" (2009) and "The Revolution Won't Be Televised" (2016), recognized at the Berlinale and JCC. In 2010, she founded BFI, a Senegalese production company, then initiated in 2019 "The Artistic Sabbar of Dakar," a multi-disciplinary event celebrating Black Women and Feminism. From 2020 to 2022, she worked for the selection committee of the Berlinale in the Panorama Section.
Born in 1989, Yanis Gaye is a French-Senegalese cultural producer and programmer. After studying art philosophy at the University of La Sorbonne and EHESS in Paris, he co-founded Gorée Island Cinéma, where he serves as the editorial and artistic director. He has been directing the Gorée Cinéma Festival since 2015. In 2019, Yanis joined the production company Boul Fallé Images as an associate producer for the film Zion Music.

Synopsis :
The film tells the story of Gisela Bergman, a German woman who moved to the northern town of Ghardimaou, on the border between Tunisia and Algeria, in the 1970s. Gisela fell in love with the place and the animals, especially the horses. She lived on the Baraket farm. The film tells the story of Gisela's struggle, with the help of her assistant Amara, to overcome financial and natural difficulties to continue her dream of preserving the Baraket farm.
Belhassen Handous (born 1980) is a documentary filmmaker and visual artist. His documentary film, Hecho en Casa, produced in 2014, has been screened at several film festivals. His first solo exhibition, La Syncope du Mérou (2021), traces the laceration of the memory of a small neighborhood in the town of La Goulette. Belhassen received a grant from the Magnum Foundation's "Counter Histories" program in 2022 for his project entitled "In the shadow on our founding father".
Ala Eddine Slim is a Tunisian filmmaker and founder of Exit Productions, one of the first independent companies in Tunisia. He has accompanied several films that have been selected and rewarded at festivals such as the documentary BABYLON (Grand prix FID Marseille 2012), THE LAST OF US (Lion of the future at the Venice Film Festival 2016), TLAMESS (Directors' Fortnight Cannes 2019). He is currently developing three films: ON THE HILL, PASSENGERS and AGORA.

Synopsis :
Amadeus, a wealthy Italian, is in love with a young Tunisian girl, Betty. Her modest parents seize the opportunity and impose conditions. Amadeus renounces his Christian faith, but refuses circumcision. Betty bribes the imam. A fatwa saves the integrity of the foreskin. Asked by the Mufti about Jesus, Amadeus replies: "The Son of God". Conversion is postponed for a week, leaving Amadeus without a God. The repeal of the circular prohibiting Tunisian women from marrying non-Muslims saves the couple.
