The Carthage Film Festival since its creation in 1966 has been a breeding ground for Arab and African talents.
Faithfull to its foundation, the Carthage Film Festival in its 26th session, is imbued with a new impulse, a new life and creates a new international competition: Carthage Ciné-Promesses hense showing the vitality and the diversity of contemporary filmmaking.
Devoted to a fresh youth, the purpose of this official competition is the discovery and the appreciationt of talents through the program of short films made by students of film schools from very different backgrounds.
The Carthage Ciné-Promesses competition is open to fiction and animation films only.
An international jury composed of five personalities will award the Carthage Ciné-Promesses prizes for best film at the official ceremony of the Carthage Film Festival.
