Synopsis

Following the everyday life in Iraq before and after the US invasion. Part 1: For several months, the director films a group of Iraqis in their expectation of war. Part 2: The Americans invaded Iraq and the film reveals the impact on the daily lives of the characters.

Homeland (Iraq year zero) (2015)

Abbas Fahdel was born in Babylon, Iraq. In France since the age of 18, he returned to Iraq in 2002 and 2003 and shoots the documentaries Return to Babylon and We the Iraqis. In 2008, he shooted in Egypt his feature film Dawn of the World.
