In the abandoned town of La Estancia, an unusual relationship develops between its last two inhabitants, Jesús Vallejo and his son Juan Diego, and the filmmaker documenting their lives. Years later, the filmmaker returns to complete his unfinished work and find his characters once again, but soon realizes that things have changed and can never be the same.

Carlos Armella is born in Mexico City and is director, editor and scriptwriter. He studied Scriptwriting at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica and filmmaking in The London Film School. His short film «Tierra y pan» won the Golden Lion award from the Venice Film Festival in 2008. In 2014 he released his feature film «En la estancia» .
