Tribute Walid Chmait

The 36th edition of the Carthage Film Festival pays tribute to one of the pioneers of film criticism in Lebanon, Walid Chmait, a major figure in Arab cinema.

This tribute will take the form of a screening and discussion of the documentary "Walid Chmait, A Life at the Heart of Cinema," directed by his son, Selim Saab Chmait. Through the exchange with the director, the audience will discover the journey of a passionate individual who left his mark on Arab film criticism, television, culture, and cinematic heritage.
