The 36th Carthage Film Festival 2025 invites you, for a full week, on a cinematic journey to the heart of a country where cinema has undergone numerous transformations and evolutions for over a century, presenting a multitude of stories, both old and new.
This cinema has strived to keep pace with the evolution of world cinema while preserving its unique narrative identity – a cinema that carries the memory of a people and the spirit of a nation, forged by the challenges of history and the trials of time. During these Film Festivals, in our theaters, we present Armenian cinema, which combines profound emotion, poetic vision, and a spirit of resilience and resistance. Characterized by a contemplative rhythm and a blend of visual effects in his feature films and documentaries, he addresses themes of memory, mourning, diasporic identity, and beauty, while exploring questions of recognition and human resilience.
