Jacque Fieschi : Head of jury (France)
Jacques Fieschi created and headed the magazine Le Cinématographe since 1985.
He collaborated to film scripts by film makers such as Maurice Pialat (Police), Claude Sautet (A heart in winter»...), Olivier Assayas (Les destinées sentimentales), Benoit Jacquot (Sade), Anne Fontaine (Comment j'ai tué mon père), Nicole Garcia (Place Vendôme...) In 2006, he directs La Californie selected at Cannes in the Un certain Regard section.
More recently, he contributed to Toutes les filles pleurent by Judith Godreche, Coco avant Chanel by Anne Fontaine, Johnny Mad Dog by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire. In 2013 he worked on the biopic Yves Saint-Laurent by Jalil Lesper, and also wrote the screenplay of Nicole Garcia's latest film Un beau dimanche.
He has also published three books L'homme à la mer Albert Camus Award1991, L'éternel garçon and a collection of his articles.
Ghalya Lacroix : Membre de Jury (Tunisia)
Ghalya Lacroix started in the film industry as an actress in films by Ali Okbi, Nouri Bouzid and Moufida Tlatli before starting to write screenplays with Abdellatif Kechiche.
She won a Cesar for the script Games of love and chance which she also edited.
She then went on both writing and editing award winning films such as The secret of the grain, Black Venus, and Blue is the warmest color.
Rima Mismar (Lebanon)
Born in Lebanon in 1975, Rima Mismar completed her studies in Communication Arts (Radio/TV/Film emphasis) at the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Beirut.
Early before graduating in the year 1998, she started writing for local newspapers and cultural supplements, focusing on cinema, before pursuing her professional career as a film critic as of 1999.
During the last decade, she had participated in several festivals as jury member or as a member of the selection committee, contributed to serious critical writings on Arab cinema, moderated panels and wrote for several regional media.
Rima has joined the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) in June 2011 as the Film Programs Manager and oversees all film programs.
Newton I Aduaka (Nigeria)
In 2001, Newton I Aduaka directs his indie film debut feature, Rage, which is released nation-wide in the UK to critical acclaim. A recipient of the Carlton television multicultural
award, Ford Foundation grantee, Newton is Filmmaker in Residence at the Cinéfondation and writer in residence at The Moulin d'Andé.
He is commissioned by the Society of French Directors (SRF) and Quinzaine des Réalisateurs to make a short film on Cinema and Globalization : the result is Funeral. In 2004 his short film, Aïcha, screened in official competition at the Mostra de Venise.
In 2007, with Ezra, Newton I Aduaka wins the Etalon d'or de Yennenga at the 20th edition of FESPACO.
Premiering in competition at the Sundance film festival, it is nominated for the Humanitas P screened at the Critics' Week in Cannes and awarded the United Nation's prize for Peace and Tolerance and various other awards, including 6 grand jury prizes.
In 2008, Aduaka is invited to speak at TED. One Man's Show, his third feature opens at Fespaco 2013, winning the Critics' Prize. The film has its US premier at the Mill Valley Film festival. Aduaka lives in Paris.
Raed Andoni : Membre de Jury (Palestine)
Born in Palestine in 1967, filmmaker and producer Raed Andoni has worked in independent cinema since 1997.
He is the co-founder of Dar Films, a Palestinian leading production company.
He has produced and secured international distribution for a number of award-winning documentaries such as The inner tour (2000), by Ra'anan Alexandrowicz, Live from Palestine(2002) by Rashid Masharawi, Invasion (2003) by Nizar Hassan, among others.
Raed is also a co-founder of Les films de Zayna, a Paris-based production company. Through Zayna, he has produced several films from Middle East and North Africa.
Raed's first documentary as a director, Improvisation (2005), produced in association with Arte, was a great success at festivals.
Andoni's first feature, Fix me (2009) was premiered in Sundance and Cannes, before its release in European theaters, and won several prizes around the world such as the SCAM award for «the best documentary of the year» and «Tanit d'Or» documentary in Carthage film festival 2010.
