Tufan (late 30’s), works in a small printing house with 3 employees. He lives in a relatively poor neighbourhood of Istanbul, with his wife Mukaddes (mid 30’s) and their daughter Simge (7). One night, Huriye (70), their next door neighbour, faints. Tufan takes Huriye to hospital. The doctor tells him that Huriye’s lungs are affected.

Vuslat Saraçoglu graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University with a degree in Sociology and International Relations. She went on to study Modern Turkish History at Bogaziçi University, but discontinued her course at the thesis stage.
