In Manipur, on Lake Loktak, fishermen still live on ‘phumdis’ built from plants. The government tries to repossess the lake by expelling the residents, but a couple of 40-year-olds hang on. Tomba thinks he can change things with a pistol but a mysterious visitor will change his fate.

Haobam Paban Kumar’s debut film Lady of the Lake won the 2016 National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation. In 2017 he also won the German Star of India at the 14th Stuttgart Indian Film Festival.
