Mati, nicknamed ‘Madame Wheelbarrow’, decides to leave her husband and live alone. She falls in love with policeman Naago. One morning soon afterwards, an armed man breaks in and starts shooting. Mortally wounded, he collapses in front of the door. Mati says she’s guilty.

MoussaSène Absa is a Senegalese film director, editor, producer, screenwriter, painter and songwriter. His directorial debut, the short film Le Prix du Mensonge, won the Silver Tanit at the 1988 JCC; his next work, Madame Brouette, won the Silver Bear at the 2003 Berlin Film Festival. He has also produced a popular daily comedy sketch, Gorgorlu, for Senegal TV.
