Mansour Sora WADE - Senegal
In a fishing village in south Senegal, two childhood friends, Mbanik and Yatma, love the same woman, Maxoye. Mbanik, son of a marabout, defies the spirits and dries up the fog that had engulfed the village. The sun returns, the fishers go back to sea and the market recovers its colours. Mbanik and Maxoye can reveal their affair; but Yatma can’t accept Mbanik’s new status.

Mansour Sora Wade is Senegalese. He took a Master’s in Film-making at Paris VIII. First he made short films for TV, then documentaries and reporting for TV5. In 2001 he directed his first feature film, The Price of Forgiveness, taken from a popular Senegalese novel, and won The Golden Tanit, JCC 2002.
