Alain Gomis is a French-Senegalese film director and screenwriter. He took a Master’s in Film Studies at the Sorbonne in 1993. He is known for Félicité (2017), L’Afrance (2001) and Today (2012). Today won an award at the 2013 Fespaco Pan-African Film Festival; Félicité was awarded a Silver Bear at the 2017 Berlin Film Festival and Gold Standard at Ouagadougou the same year.
