In the Kivu jungle in Congo, Sergeant Xavier, a Rwandan war hero, and the young, inexperienced soldier Faustin, are in enemy territory, waging an undefined war. When they lose their battalion they are alone, without resources, lost in the impenetrable Congolese jungle, the most dangerous in the world.

Joel Karekezi was born in 1985 in Gisenyi, Rwanda. In 2008 he took a degree in production after studying on-line at the Cinécours cinema school. He then made his first short film, The Pardon, in 2009.
