For the first time in two years, a family gathers for Easter lunch. The matriarch, Josephine, is happy to receive her children around a table of delicious food she has carefully prepared. While they are eating an incident reveals the underlying tensions in the family and threatens to turn the event into chaos.

Lucien Bourjeily was born in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War and early on found refuge in writing. He won a Fulbright scholarship and in 2013 completed an MFA at Los Angeles LMU. Heaven Without People is his first feature film.
