An exceptional edition for an exceptional year!
In these times of global health crisis, our thoughts are with the victims of this virus, the health professionals who are fighting against this pandemic taking care of us watching over our health.
As art and especially cinema occupies a privileged place in our hearts, we will work on this dream along, as long as our faith and our resistance are unwavering in the face of this pandemic. Carthage Film Festival will adapt to this unusual situation, by allowing the public to find its festival in the most comfortable conditions.
The team lately decided to maintain this exceptional edition from November 7th to 12th, 2020 according to the evolution of the world health situation and adapting to the current situation.
We have imagined this edition a shiny one thanks to the African and Arab films that have marked its history. These films are not necessarily award-winning films, but essentially films which have written the history of this great festival. So it will be a dream opportunity for the young generations to discover African and Arab cinema from the previous decades (1966 -2019).
The festival direction decided to postpone the official competition for the upcoming year. We are instead keeping the film registrations open for all categories. The films registered on our platform will be taken into consideration for the next 2021 edition which will prepared under better conditions.
We will continue to closely monitor the health situation in Tunisia and around the world. No decision to maintain or postpone the festival will be taken unless all the sanitary conditions are clear and complete.
The direction of the festival is working closely with the Ministry of Culture as well as with The National Center of Cinema and Image (CNCI) to keep you regularly informed of any new decision.
