Carthage Pro, through its Chabaka development assistance and Takmil post-production workshops, is now the expected meeting place for African and Arab filmmakers.
Since its creation in 2014, Takmil has supported no less than 47 films in the post-production phase. As for Chabaka and since this workshop became competitive in 2018, 11 projects in development have been supported.
Many of the selected films have enjoyed international careers, winning awards at festivals and professional platforms.
These two workshops have become complementary, so Carthage Pro is positioned as the platform that supports filmmakers from the first stage of creation through to completion.
Thanks to the support of our partners who did not hesitate to respond, aid grants will be offered to the winners designated by our international jury.
From November 1 to 3, directors are invited to present their films in the presence of professionals from the film industry.
Carthage pro is also a program rich in meetings, masterclasses, forums, and debates around exciting and topical themes, open to an audience of professionals and film buffs for the duration of the festival.
