Tribute to Abdelaziz Ben Mlouka
Born in Tunis, Abdelaziz Ben Mlouka is one of the leading figures in Tunisian cinema. A visionary producer and man of action, he has influenced generations of filmmakers and helped build a strong foundation for national film production.
After extensive experience at SATPEC (Tunisian Company for Film Production and Expansion), where he mastered the art of production, he founded his own company, CTV Services (Cinema, Television, Video, Services), in 1989. It has since become one of the most respected production houses nationally and internationally.
At the head of CTV, Ben Mlouka established a vision based on rigor, technical excellence, and high standards. Surrounded by a skilled team, he has produced or co-produced around twenty Tunisian films, including Clay Dolls (2002), Bedwin Hacker (2003), La Villa (2004), Flower of Oblivion (2005), Making of (2006), Les Palmiers blessés (2010), and Dicta Shot (2013). Internationally, he served as executive producer on Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), and Flandres (2006).
His career reflects a rare ability to combine creativity and efficiency, opening Tunisian cinema to major international collaborations. Under his leadership, CTV Productions has excelled across cinema, television, documentary, and advertising.
The 36th edition of the Carthage Film Festival (JCC) honors Abdelaziz Ben Mlouka with a Golden Tanit Award, celebrating a generation of producers for whom cinema is not merely a profession but a commitment to culture, image, and collective memory.
