Tribute to Paulin Soumanou Vieyra

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of filmmaker Paulin Soumanou Vieyra (1925–1987), the 36th edition of the Carthage Film Festival pays tribute to a pioneer and cornerstone of African cinema.

The tribute to Vieyra includes the screening of three films: 

• C’était il y a 4 ans (1954),
• En résidence surveillée (1981) and
• Vieyra, the Innovative Pioneer (2025),

As well as an exhibition retracing his body of work.
