Synopsis

Namir goes to Egypt, his home country, to make a film about the miraculous apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the Coptic Christian community. As his mother said, "There is people who see her, there is people who do not see her. There might be a message in all this. " Very quickly the investigation serves as a pretext to see his family, and to involve the whole village in a fantastic staging...



Réalisateur


Born in 1974, Namir Abdel Messeeh lived his early childhood in Egypt. He is currently based in France where he obtained a masters in cinema at the University of Paris VII and studied directing at La Femis. He directed two short fiction films before exploring more personal questions through his short documentary YOU, WAGUIH.
