Synopsis

The portrait of a poet, who passed away in August, 2008. Born in 1942 in Galilee, Mahmoud Darwich lived through the terrible days of the “Nekba”. Returning to Israel, a refugee in his own land, he decided to become an exile. Expressing a collective wound, finding a path between the Palestinian individual and universal suffering. Large audiences gathered at each of his poetry readings.
