Synopsis

Selim and Selima, 20 year-old twins whose mother died in childbirth, live in Tunis with their father, Ali, a prominent lawyer. Ali has never recovered from the death of his wife. He holds his children responsible for her death and obstinately refuses to answer their questions about her. Selima discovers one day that she will only inherit half of what her brother will. She questions her father, «is it because fathers only love their daughters half as much?» On the death of their father, Selim leaves to live abroad. What will become of Selima?


Le réalisateur

Kalthoum Bornaz, Tunisian, has a degree from IDEC (FEMIS) in Paris in scriptwriting and editing. She first worked as a technician in Tunisia with several directors, then wrote and directed her own films. «L’Autre moitié du ciel» is her second feature film after «Keswa – Le Fil Perdu» in 1998.
