Synopsis

Praïa, in Cap Verde. Laura, Flavia and Bela are childhood friends. Each leads her own life, and they get together from time to time to dance, have dinner together and party…But one day, the tranquil rivers of their lives surge over the banks, carry them away and become furious torrents. Ricardo, Flavia’s husband, rapes his student, Indira,13, who is Laura’s oldest daughter….


The director:

Ana Ramos Lisboa, from Cap Verde, studied at the Conservatory of Music, Dakar, then at the National Institute for Dramatic Arts, Abidjan, before obtaining her degree in film Studies in Paris. Film credits include: «La Peur» Short film 1996 , «Symphonie du couteau», short 1997 , «A-t-on peur de mourir» , doc 1998. «Cap-Vert, mon amour» is her first feature film.
