Synopsis

In Zinder, the 2nd largest city in Niger, Ousseini is the young chief of the very traditional Brotherhood of Butchers. While trying to develop a channel for exporting beef from his region, he faces a double challenge: to legitimize his recently acquired role as a traditional chief and at the same time, assert himself as an innovator.


THE DIRECTOR

Malam Saguirou, founder and director of the production company Dangamara Sarl, is the author and director of a number of documentary films, such as «La chèvre qui broute» (2007), «Un Africain à Annecy» (2006, Prix Jean Rouch), «Le chasseur du vent» (2005), «Le prix d’un Plat» (2005).
