Synopsis
Cairo, February 2011. Elsayed, Noha and Ahmed are are young Egyptians trying to do the revolution. They occupy the square day and night. They talk, shout and sing with other thousands of Egyptians what they could not say out loud before. At Tahrir we resist, we learn to discuss and throw stones, to invent slogans and heal the wounded, to defy the army and protect the conquered territory: an area of freedom where people get drunk on words.
Réalisateur
Stefano Savona was born in Palermo in 1969. He studied archaeology and anthropology in Rome. He started to work as an independent photographer in 1995. Since 1999, he has been mainly working as director and producer of documentaries.
His works include numerous video installations (such as D-Day, 2005, in Paris at the Pompidou Centre).
He directed Notes from a Kurdish Rebel (2006), Palazzo delle Aquile (2011).
