Article 1: Object
The Carthage Film festival steering committee is setting up a producer’s network with the objectives of supporting and promoting Arab and African film makers and producers with long feature fiction or documentary projects in the development stages.
For two days, the Producer’s Network will present Arab and African long feature projects in one-to-one, 30 mns meetings to international partners (producers, distributors, broadcasters …) in order to involve them in projects financing.
Article 2: Date
The Producer’s Network will take place on 20 and 21 November 2012 during CFF according to the following conditions.
Article 3: Application
This call is open to filmmakers and producers citizens of Arab and African countries or of Arab and African origins. A film maker can only apply for one project and a producer can apply for a maximum of two projects.
Article 4: Pre-selection
From the total number of applications, the selection committee of the Producer’s Network will choose 20 to 25 projects, long feature fiction and documentary. These selected projects will be reviewed according to the conditions in article 6.
Article 5: Projects submissions
Film makers and producers wishing to participate at the Producer’s Network must send for each project, the following attachments in French or in English.
Mandatory attachments, plus one PDF copy to be sent by mail:
- Registration form duly filled and signed Download registration form the Producer's Network
- A log line (short synopsis): 200 characters maximum, including spaces
- A Synopsis: 2000 characters maximum, including spaces
- Note of intention from the author: 2000 characters maximum, including spaces
- Short treatment: between 8 and 12 pages
- A recap for an estimated production budget in Euros: 1 page
- A financial plan in Euros: 1 page
- A technical sheet: 1 page
- A biofilmography of the author and the director: 1200 characters maximum + photos
- A biofilmography of the producer or the production company: 1200
- characters maximum + photo
Requests must be sent by E-mail and by regular mail. Deadline for accepting projects is 30 September 2012.

Article 6: Projects review and selection process
To review projects, CFF will convene a selection committee of recognized personalities from the audiovisual field. These personalities are renowned for their action in favor of art-house cinema as well as African and Arab cinemas.
Candidates, whose projects are selected, will be notified one month before the dates of the Producer’s Network.
The film maker or the producer of each selected project will be invited to the Producer’s Network next November in Tunis.
Article 7: General rules
These present regulations are written in French and English. In case of disagreement on the interpretation of the text, the French version is the rule.
The CFF steering committee is the sole decider for questions that are not covered by these regulations. It can, among things, for reasons of a serious nature, left to its discretion and its appreciation, cancel, delay, curtail or interrupt the event, without any recourse.
Applications for participation at the CFF Producer's Network imply the unconditional acceptance of these regulations. The civil court in Tunis has sole jurisdiction in any dispute.
