Synopsis

A single father with terminal cancer prepares to face death, and struggles to ensure that his autistic son will be well cared for after he is gone.

Xue Xiaolu, is a professor at the Beijing Film Academy, he wrote and directed the 7 million yuan (one million U. S. dollars) movie « Ocean Heaven ». Xue Xiaolu has been a volunteer for 14 years with Beijing Stars and Rain, a non-governmental educational organization for autistic children.
