Synopsis
Put in charge of his young son, Ali leaves Belgium for Antibes to live with his sister and her husband as a family. Ali’s bond with Stephanie, a killer whale trainer, grows deeper after Stephanie suffers a horrible accident.

Born in Paris, France, in 1952. His father, Michel, was a popular screenwriter and director. He worked as an assistant editor on several movies like "Le locataire" (1976) directed by Roman Polanski. "
In 1994, he made his first movie "Regarde les hommes tomber"( Cesar for Best First Film and Georges-Sadoul award) and later "Un heros tres discret” (Best screenplay at Cannes festival).
In 2001 he made his third movie "Sur mes levres” (Cesar for best screenplay), then “De battre mon Coeur s’est arrête” and “a prophet”( nine Cesars including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor in 2010, and a nomination for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars.).
His works made him the new master of the "polar" (French thriller).
