Born in Algiers in 1973, Lyes Salem is an actor, writer and Algerian director.
He studiedin Paris at the Lycée Molière and at La Sorbonne, before continuing his training at the Ecole du Théâtre National de Chaillot and CNSAD.
After three successful short films, L'Hasa (1999), Jean-Fares (2001): Best Short Film Award at the Milan Festival of African Cinema in 2002, and Young audience award in Montpellier, Cousines (2003): Cesar for the Best short film, he directed his first feature film in 2008 Mascarades followed by L'Oranais in 2014.
Eriq Ebouaney is a French actor of Cameroonian origin.
He first played in the theater before turning to film where he played in several films including "Lumumba" where he played the role of the great African leadeur Patrice Lumumba.
Fares Ladjimi has produced or coproduced ten feature films including "Je veux voir" by Khalil Joreige and Joana Hadjithomas, a road movie that takes Catherine Deneuve in the footsteps of the war in South Lebanon (Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2008) "El Premio" by Paula Markovich (Silver Bear 61st Berlin Film Festival) and "Nos Héros sont morts ce soir," by David Perrault (in competition at the Semaine de la critique in Cannes 2013)
Ida Panahandeh is an Iranian filmmaker. After a career in television, short films and documentaries, she directed Nahid (2015) his first feature film, the film was selected at the Cannes film Festival (Un Certain Regard) where he won the Prize of the future.
Julio Luduena is a director and producer in Argentina. He directed several films which include: Alianza para el Progreso (1971) and The civilización masa y no está haciendo already oir (1974) Historias de Cronopios y Famas (2014).
Emblematic Actress of African cinema, Naky Sy Savane started an early career in the movie Bal Poussière d'Henri Duparc.
She played in several feature films and won several awards .
Naky is also an active campaigner for the rights of women and children in Africa.
Born in Aylesbury (England). Peter Chappell studied in universities of Exeter and Bristol, and the National Film and Television School.
