For the collective memory of Tunisians, 1978 is the undying memory of our famous national football team and its “epic” to Argentina’’. A myth which marked my childhood along with an intriguing question: why did my mother never watch the football with us? What if 1978 in the end was more than a football story?

Sami TLILI
PhD student in Modern Literature at Aix-Marseille University and trained at Varan workshops. After three short films, in 2012 he directed his first documentary feature Cursed Be the Phosphate. He has also worked as an art director at several film festivals.
