Fellini and the shadow
Fellini and the shadow
Catherine McGilvray - Italy
Synopsis
Fellini and the Shadow is a docu-drama that explores a less known aspect of the Italian cinema’s Maestro: his depressive episodes and his discovery of Carl Gustav Jung's analytical psychology as a tool for self-analysis through creation.
The voice of the more intimate and secret Fellini resonates in the head of Claudia, a young foreign director who came to Rome to make a documentary on the relationship between the filmmaker and his analyst, Dr. Ernst Bernhard, who inspired Fellini's "Il libro dei Sogni" and the film "Eight and a Half".
