She studied at the Art and Cinema School of Tunis. During her course, she directed several short films. In 2004, she continued her training at FEMIS. She directed several feature films awarded in various festivals. The first of these feature films is The Challat of Tunis 2014. Her feature film Beauty and the dogs 2017, was selected in the Un Certain Regard category at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and in 2018, was selected to represent Tunisia at the 2019 Oscars in the best foreign movie category.
