Jerzy Skolimowski
Jerzy Skolimowski is a Polish film director, screenwriter, dramatist poet and actor. Graduate of the prestigious National Film School in Łódź, Skolimowski directed more than twenty films since his 1960 debut. In 1967 he was awarded the Golden Bear prize for his film Le epart. He received the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. He directed Essential Killing in 2010, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. In May 2022, his new film, Hi-Han, won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
