Synopsis
Layal, a young Palestinian woman, is arrested and incarcerated in a high-security Israeli prison where she gives birth to a baby boy. Struggling to survive and raise her newborn behind bars, she is torn between her instincts as a mother and the difficult decisions she must make. She finds in her relationship with the other prisoners, both Palestinian and Israeli, the space and time to become a mother and a woman.

Mai Masri
Palestinian director and producer. Beside her own documentaries, she co-directed with her husband, Lebanese filmmaker Jean Chamoun, several films on the effects of the war in Lebanon, as well as on the Palestinian resistance, especially from the point of view of women and children. In 2015, she directed her first feature fiction film, "3000 Nights".
